DemilitarizedZone(DMZ)-outsideofyourcorporatefirewall.
TheGroupDriveorCornerstoneMFTServerthatresidesonyour
networkinitiatesasessionwiththeDMZedgethroughasecure
outboundconnection.Allincomingclientrequestsanddataare
forwardedtotheback-endserverthroughaconnectionthathas
alreadybeenestablishedbetweentheMFTServerandtheDMZedge
Server.TheMFTorGroupDriveServersresidesecurelybehindyour
corporatefirewall,althougheaseofaccessforyourendusersis
assimpleasiftheserverswereinyourDMZ.Datastorageand
authenticationtakeplaceontheback-endserver,andnoinbound
portsareopenedthroughyourfirewall.
